Accepted into juried exhibition and publication

Recently I was accepted from among applicants world-wide into a juried online exhibtition by Still Point Gallery.

Acceptance into this exhibition also meant publication of my work into the Gallery's "highly-regarded art and literary publication, Still Point Arts Quarterly" --a publication distributed to bookstores across Canada & the US. Both aspects I consider well worth being highly pleased over.

But then (joy) I recieved a sneak peek of page 4 from the magazine and discovered my work was
used to introduce the exhibition:
"Take a long look at this magnificent piece by Col Mitchell. Your eyes distinctly see the trunk of the tree, its many intertwining branches, and the folds of the landscape. Your eyes enjoy the ridges and bumps that bring the tree and surrounding scene to life. But now close your eyes and imagine that you are slowly running your fingers over this piece."

Elements of Art: Texture will remain a featured exhibition through November 6, 2012 and will remain online until November 6, 2013.
