On a Green Journey Part 1

As the wondrously gorgeous Spring we had here in Muskoka progressed, I found myself inspired by the swiftly abundant on-charge of intensely fresh local greenery. At one point everything was just so green. 

And it was so fresh! There was very little variance, such as yellowing from dry spells or dying vegetation. Very few flowers had sprung up.

The boarder-line between Spring and Summer had become clearly, visually defined.

Well it stuck. I've had green on my mind for weeks now.

So I decided to go on a little green journey, take a deeper look at the colour green, and share a few highlights from what I've found so far.

The Psychology of green:

• Green is believed to increase concentration and to have a calming effect.

(Hmmm...I always change my computer colours to include a soft green. I buy into that!)  

• Is your car green? If it is...a dark green vehicle send the message that you are: Traditional, trustworthy, well-balanced. A bright Yellow-Green says: Trendy, whimsical, lively.

Green Connotations: Most common secondary meanings of the word green

• nature, growth, grass, hope, youth, inexperience, Islam, sickness, health, Spring, money, greed, envy, St. Patrick’s Day

Proverb (there's a proverb!)

• A hedge between keeps friendship green. (Your friendship will flourish if you and your friend respect each other's privacy.)
